At Dasbos Barn, we can bring your wedding and special event ideas to fruition.
Nestled in the heart of the Bossieveld Mountains (only 90 minutes drive from Cape Town),
Dasbos Barn is surrounded by a picturesque setting, apple orchards, vineyards, and nature.
The historic barn was built in 1913 and used as a blacksmith barn but now this rustic venue
has been sensibly restored and is perfect for your:
wedding or engagement reception, birthday celebration, bachelor/bachelorette party,
conference, workshop, team building, and any social events.
Our charming farm venue offers everything you can dream of to ensure a memorable
experience for you and your guests.
Weddings
Dasbos Barn offers a space for both,
your wedding ceremony and wedding reception.
A beautiful wedding pergola is wrapped in bougainvillea and surrounded by iceberg roses, lavender, and aloes, overlooking our dam. Giving that magical touch when walking up the aisle. We have a few different options for ceremony seating for rental including white chairs, fold out benches or hay bales that can be used for that added rustic feel.
Bar facility situated right next to the ceremony area.
Please note that it is a supply your own liquor type of venue but we have a great relationship with our neighboring farm
Stettyn Wine Farm and Villiersdorp Winery that we will be able to get you an amazing award wine selection.
We also have three wine barrels and three high tabletops that can be used for canapes, cocktails or any way you see fit. There is one stretch tent available for hire at an extra cost.

Events
At Dasbos Barn you can comfortably seat 65 guests.
The size is around 100 square meters so it is suitable for most events and functions. This rustic venue is located on Pendennis farm with a beautiful Cape Dutch manor house from 1875 where you are welcome to take pictures and capture those precious memories.
This barn venue is wonderfully versatile and you can use it
as a blank canvas and move things around as you wish
to bring make your event even more special.
Accommodation
Dasbos Barn is part of the Pendennis Farm. Located in the picturesque Bossieveld valley just 10 kilometers from the charming village of Villiersdorp. Pendennis Farm offers unique and comfortable accommodation in four different houses. Guests can choose from the historic Victorian mansion, the Pink Lady, the modern Container House, the oldest building on the farm, the Lavender Cottage, or the smallest house, the Lemon Cottage. All the houses have stunning views over the farm, valley, and surrounding mountain range, and guests can enjoy walks through the vineyards and orchards. Free uncapped Wi-Fi. The farm has two dams, but swimming is seasonal due to irrigation. However, guests can take advantage of the communal swimming pool which is open from October to May.
Pink Lady
The Pink Lady is a restored historic Victorian manor house that can accommodate up to eight guests. The house boasts four spacious bedrooms and two very large bathrooms, as well as a sunroom with two additional bunk beds. The open-plan living room and kitchen are perfect for entertaining, and the stoep outside has loungers to enjoy the stunning views. There is also a braai and dining area in the spacious garden.
Container House
The Container House, made from three large containers,
is a modern and spacious house that can accommodate
up to eight guests. It has three double rooms, one bunk bed room, and two bathrooms, one with a shower and bath, and the other with a shower. The open-plan kitchen, dining, and living area lead to a large stoep with an outdoor dining table, braai area, and fire pit in the fenced garden,
perfect for guests with dogs.
Lavender Cottage
Lemon Cottage
The Lemon Cottage is the smallest of the guest houses,
with two double rooms sharing one bathroom.
The open-plan kitchen, dining, and living area lead to the fenced garden with an outside seating area.
Teepee Village
For the more adventurous guests we have our Teepee Town that offers two teepees and two safari tents. The tents share a stunning outside braai area with a dining table, off-the-grid kitchen with a gas stove and small fridge, and four solar-heated showers and toilets. Each tent has a private outside area with a table and chairs.
